Orders can be made by post, telephone or e-mail.
HOW TO CONTACT ME
Now I have retired my responses may not be as prompt as they would have been in the past as I may be away. However, I still aim to get back to you as soon as I can.

(When Winslow Bobbins was up-and-running we received frequent nuisance calls but we felt it would have been inconvenient to customers had we operated a call-blocking system. However I now have installed a Nuisance Call Block system to finally rid myself of this annoyance. Therefore in the future you may be asked to identify yourself before being connected.)

When contacting me by e-mail please include the word 'Bobbin' somewhere in the subject line, eg. 'Bobbin Enquiry' or 'Bobbin Order', so I can identify it from the many items of junk mail I receive every day.
It has also become apparent that the occasional e-mail has gone astray, so if you do not receive a reply within a few days, please resend it.

HOW TO ORDER
Having retired and no longer producing bobbins, stock levels can change very quickly. I will try to keep the website as up-to-date as possible but there may be times when changes can't be made before new orders are received. Therefore I suggest you contact me by email or telephone beforehand to check if the items you want are still available. In addition the way post and packing is charged has been changed; - see Postage and Packing below. So, if you email or phone I will also be able to confirm the total cost of your order at the same time.
PAYMENT
Terms are payment with order.
I can accept sterling cheques or postal orders which should now be made payable to SMG Smith. If you choose to send a cheque without checking the cost of postage & packing with me beforehand might I suggest that you leave the numbers and figures blank for me to complete but indicate in the area above where you sign the cheque, "Cheque not to exceed xx.xx pounds" allowing for any additional postage and packing costs which might be charged (Following the increases introduced by Royal Mail on 2 October 2023 I calculate the maximum UK 2nd class P&P charge would be £3.75)
Alternatively, if you have access to internet banking you can pay using the Faster Payments service which is safer and speedier. Let me know and I will send you the details. Please be very careful when entering the details so as not to transpose any numbers as it is very difficult to trace and reclaim payments sent to the wrong account. I would also ask you kindly to email me when the payment instruction has been given so that I can check and acknowledge safe receipt and post your order.
Having cancelled the contract with our debit/credit card service provider I can no longer accept payment by debit or credit card.

POSTAGE and PACKING
Orders will be sent by first class post (UK) or airmail (Overseas), unless instructed otherwise, and charged at actual cost of postage plus 25p to cover the time and cost of packaging. All packages will be 'Large Letter' or 'Small Parcel' packages since a bobbin is 5.5mm in diameter.
