How to Order
Orders can be made by post, telephone or e-mail.

When contacting us by e-mail please include the word 'Bobbin' somewhere in the subject line, eg. 'Bobbin Enquiry' or 'Bobbin Order', so we may identify it from the many items of junk mail we receive every day.
It has also become apparent that the occasional e-mail has gone astray, so if you do not receive a reply within a few days, please resend it.
We aim to reply within 24 hours of receipt, but we occasionally travel further afield for lace days and may be away from the computer for a few days. We could, of course, also be away on holiday, but wherever possible we do try and collect our e-mails remotely.

Our terms are payment with order.
We accept sterling cheques, postal orders, debit cards (Visa Debit and MasterCard Debit UK cards only) and major credit cards (Visa and MasterCard).
Please see below for the information that we need to process debit and credit cards.
Debit and Credit card transactions are not processed until the order is ready for posting

Debit and Credit Card Requirements

We are required to enter the following information into our 'chip and pin' machine - these details are specified on our downloadable Order Form.
1) Card Type (eg, Visa / MasterCard / Visa Debit / MasterCard Debit)
2) Issuing Bank / Institution (phone / e-mail only)
3) Card Number
4) Name (exactly as it appears on the card)
5) Expiration Date
6) Valid from Date (if present)
7) Card Security Code (the final 3 digits on the signature strip)
8) Billing Address (including post code) - (the address your card company uses to contact you)
9) Delivery Address (if different from the Billing Address)
10) Telephone Contact Number

Please check carefully the credit/debit card details you have given. Mistakes may delay your order as we will have to contact you if the information you have provided is incorrect.
Sending Credit/Debit Card details over the Internet

We understand reservations sending credit card details by e-mail. However, several customers have happily and successfully used the following method:

Send two or more separate e-mails (at different times) with the details split - eg. the first e-mail is sent with the first 8 digits of the card number (they can even be disguised as catalogue numbers ie. "I'd like to order numbers 5454 and 3857 etc.." and then send the second 8 digits in a separate e-mail. Please make sure you include all the information listed above. These details can be sent separately or with one half of the digits.

We're told that the chances of separate e-mails being intercepted, when they have more than likely been routed totally differently, is negligible.

UK Orders
Bobbin value £15.00 and over - £2.50
Bobbin value less than £15.00 - £2.00
(Due to increased postal charges on larger packages, there is a single 50p postage supplement on a few items. Items to which the supplement applies are highlighted throughout the website, in the brochure and on the Order Form. Only one postage supplement is payable per order.)

Overseas Orders
Overseas orders are sent by airmail and charged at actual cost of postage plus 25p packaging (minimum £2.25).
